About us

St Andrew’s has served the community of Coulsdon since 1918.

We aspire to be a group of authentic, creative people who live lives that reflect the love of God in Jesus Christ.

We don’t always get it right, and we need a lot of help – which is why we meet together.

‘Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.’

Matthew 5:16

Churches Together

We are from many different backgrounds to worship as one church family.  We seek to support one another as we share God's love in our community and St. Andrew’s is a place where diversity is valued, and all are welcome .

We are part of a collection of Christian churches in and around Coulsdon, Surrey. Member churches are; Brighton Road Methodist Church, Chipstead Valley Tabernacle, Old Coulsdon Congregational Church, St Aidan's Roman Catholic Church, St Andrew's Church of England, St John's Church of England, St Mary's Roman Catholic Church; St Mary & St Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Church, Whitethorn Avenue Methodist Church and Woodmansterne Baptist Church

For more information please email Monica Jefford.

There is plenty going on at St. Andrew’s, but worship on Sundays is special.

Sunday Eucharist takes place at 9.45am.

Our central act of worship is Holy Communion; a sharing together in bread and wine at which we believe the risen Christ is present with us. ?

On the first Sunday of each month there is Junior church for our younger friends

On the third Sunday of each month we celebrate 'Renew', our All-Age Eucharist, which is partly led by our young people.

Join us - a very warm welcome awaits you.

Music

St. Andrew's has a strong musical tradition: we love our music and our Services are blessed with beautiful music from our organist and a robed choir.

If you love to sing, our friendly choir extend a warm welcome to new members.  Just come alone one Sunday – see us, hear us, have a chat and hopefully join us!

Safeguarding

At St Andrew's we take safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults very seriously.

You will find our policues here, which is carried out according to the Diocesan policy found in “A Safe Church”

If you have any concerns, you can contact our Parish Safeguarding Officers; Karen Bowey – email Karen and Sara-Jane Davidson – email Sara-Jane

St Andrew’s is a place of love, life, laughter, friendship and faith.

We try to ensure that there is something for everyone – and are always open to suggestions where we fall short.

Why not ‘come and see’ what God is up to here? You will be most welcome.

Eco Church Award.

We take our responsibility to be good stewards of God’s creation seriously and are delighted to have achieved our bronze Eco Church award.
